Alexa Durben is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, majoring in journalism and media with a creative media concentration. She has interned at WVLT-TV, Knoxville’s CBS affiliate, as an MMJ and reporter. In fall 2025, she’s working as assistant managing editor at The Volunteer Channel, UT’s student-run broadcast station, and in spring 2026, she’ll serve as managing editor. Her next project includes covering the 2026 Paralympics in Milan, Italy as a visual journalist in partnership with USA TODAY. Alexa will graduate May 2026.
